Coral Under Threat VR Project

Friday Sundae are announcing a new project, Coral Under Threat - Emergency Action VR. Explore the fascinating world of the coral reef and discover the devastation of coral bleaching.

Developed internally, Coral Under Threat is Sundae Creative Team passion project, and takes an important subject matter.....

The game will feature over a 100 different varieties of coral, and three different coral biomes to explore. Students will be able to use instruments to measure water temperature, and detect the zooxanthella levels within the coral.

The loss of this latter substance (algae) is what results in the distinctive "white" bleached colour.

A non-diegetic narration will lead users through the experience, explaining the causes and ramifications of coral loss, and its effect on ocean ecology.
‍

Coral Under Threat is current a closed prototype, and we can looking at a 2021 free release for mobile, standalone and desktop platforms.
